About Us

Hi! I am Lauren and my husband is Chris. I grew up in the Potomac, Maryland. Chris grew up in Mesa, Arizona. We first met on our study abroad in April of 2010. We traveled around Europe. I met him on the first day of the trip in London. It was us and a few other people walking around the city. I didn't get to know him very well on the beginning of the trip. As the weeks went by, we became better friends. I remember, the last night of the study abroad, hanging out with Chris. He had cut his leg with something, and I went to get a bandage to help him out. It was pretty random. We even walked in on two other people making out... what a pleasant experience. After the trip, I went home for the summer and came back to BYU for school in September. I quickly found out that Chris was living in the apartment complex right next to me! I had him come over the first day of school. Over the months, we became best friends. I was dating other people of course, because Chris was just a friend to me. Little did I know, he was head over heels in L-O-V-E, but would never show it to me. I was oblivious. Then came February of 2011 and Chris finally asked me out on a real date. My initial response was, "What? Really?". haha. A week later, we had our first kiss. We got engaged 4 months later and married 3 months after that in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 17th, 2011. A year and a half after that, we had the sweetest baby boy, Charlie. Now, we live in Lawrence, Kansas and just had a baby boy named Leo. Life with a bunch of boys is a blast!
