Charlie's 3rd Birthday!

To celebrate Charlie's 3rd birthday, we threw him a minion themed party for him and all of his friends that he's made here in Kansas. Figured we should do something before we move.

Before his party, we took him to Legoland, his absolute favorite place, other than Disneyland of course.

 Right before his party started, Charlie was bawling because he wanted to open his birthday presents that Papa and Gigi got him.

Charlie's Easter 2015

For some reason, I only took video this year and not any pictures. Maybe because video is cuter? And I was either in my pjs or looked gross? Yea, that's it. Anyways, this year was a ton of fun with my toddler boy. He was obsessed with finding eggs around the house! Sometimes I would just hide them for fun with nothing in them and he loved to look for them. It's probably his favorite game! Sure love my Charlie boy during the Holidays!

Charlie's 2nd Birthday

This kid had so much fun on his 2nd birthday! We started the day at the zoo with friends and the weather was perfect! And Charlie was obsessed with the lion and elephant, as usual. He loves all animals! Then we visited Daddy at work for lunch. We ended the night with cake and presents at our house while face timing family. Charlie got a super cute rocking horse from the Guinns and a lego train set from the Richards. He is obsessed with both. For real. Perfect gifts! I sure love this age, Charlie is so fun to play with and entertain. I love going out everyday and doing kid things with him. Toddlers are the best! Other than those not-so-fun toddler tantrums, but thankfully Charlie doesn't have too many of those (knock on wood). He is finally starting to talk more and more within the last week. He is trying to say new words all of the time, even though half the time I have no idea what he is saying, I am just so proud that he's trying! My baby isn't a mute! Woo!

My toddler baby

I gave my little munchkin a photo shoot in November so I could give some pictures to his grandparents for Christmas. I just love this little boy's face so much! And I can't believe he is turning 2 in less than 3 months!

Eighteen-month-old Munchkin

My Munchkin is 18 months (since a few weeks ago)

I love this boy more than words can describe! He has my whole heart! He is so smart, funny, loving, silly, curious, scared (haha), sweet, and innocent (most of the time). I love his little personality. I just can't wait to have conversations with him. Learn to talk already! Haha. 

Here are some words this kid says:

"Hi" (while waving - squeezing hand open and closed) - means Hi and Bye

"Wuhuh?" (with his hands open up and out, like a question) - Where is it?, huh?, what?

"Wohhh" - Woah, Wow

"Uh!" - Oh no! (he usually has a really scared look on his face, like when the lawnmowers come by our window)
"Dah!" (while pointing to something) - What is that?, Look!

Some of his tricks:

Where's your nose? He points to his nose

Where are your ears?  He points to his ears

Can you roll it? He shakes his arms out

Can you mark it with a "B"? He points to his palm

Can you say prayer? He folds his arms

Where's Charlie? He points to his stomach

Where's your belly button? He pulls up his shirt all the way and points to it, and then tries to do the same to me, haha.
Shake your head! And then he starts thrashing his head side-to-side super fast
High Five! And then he must give every person's hand in the room a high five

He loves:

reading books

rolling his cars everywhere around the house, even on me

building towers with blocks

throwing all of his toys in his crib and then going in his crib to throw them all back out

playing ball (fetch, haha)

running into me with a giant hug (my favorite)

giving his Mom and Dad kisses before bed (he laughs like crazy while doing it too)

bottles in the morning and night

slides

swings

climbing stairs or ladders

opening and shutting doors

anything with wheels on it (cars, other people's strollers, wagons, pushing strollers, etc.)

standing on the couch and then falling straight backwards into the pillows. He especially loves it when his head hits the wall behind the pillows. What's wrong with him? haha.

running away from me as I chase him

playing any sort of game

playing mini golf with daddy outside in our "backyard"

wacking me in the face with his plastic baseball bat or with any other toy (it's because Chris laughs every time, not funny.)

I could go on and on about what this boy loves, but I won't so this list is a good start. Can't wait for the coming many years with this boy!

Teddy & Doggy

This is my baby Charlie. He loves to play and smile and laugh. He absolutely loves these two stuffed animals. He got the teddy bear from Chris and I for his first Christmas. He got the doggy from his Aunt Abby for his birthday. He sleeps with both in each arm for bedtime and naps. Whenever I go into his room in the morning, he scrambles around his crib, grabbing both stuffed animals before standing up for me to take him out. He loves to snuggle them and bite their noses. GAH! I love this baby of mine.

Charlie's 1st Birthday!

My baby turned 1 on Thursday. oh-my-gosh. I have a one-year-old. What the heck? This year went by wayyy toooo fast! Charlie is as cute as ever, though. I love his little personality. He is obsessed with wheels, all wheels, all sizes, even ones that are three times his size. Heh as such a fun birthday party at the park with food and drinks and presents. Charlie was not the biggest fan about his cupcake. Maybe because it was half burned (thanks stupid oven). So I just had him suck on the icing, but he didn't really care for that either. Hopefully he'll be the only healthy eater in our family! 

The weather was really nice! I'm so excited that spring is here, kinda, haha. Charlie and I are both much happier outside. And there is so much more to do when the weather is nice. I hate the days that I am stuck at home because I don't have a car and our apartment is messy. Gah! 

Also, Its official! Chris and I are moving to Kansas at the end of May! I'm excited, but also scared and nervous and sad. I will miss my friends and family here in Utah. I've only live in Utah and Maryland. And I've been in Utah for the last 6 years! Holy Cow! But, Chris promised me that we will only be in Kansas for a year, so there's a light at the end of the tunnel, haha. Wish us luck!

Eleven months

My itty bitty baby is 11 months old as of 2 days ago. He is almost a 1 year old kid. I can't believe it! He has grown up so much so fast! He has such a cute little personality. He loves to knock down towers of blocks. He loves to try and eat the screen on his play laptop. He loves to talk to siri on my iPhone. He loves to throw balls and play pass/catch. He loves the swing. He loves the pool and loves to swim. He loves to crawl away from me as I try to get him. He loves getting tickled. He loves mirrors and looking at himself. He loves paper. He loves his teddy bear that I got him for Christmas. He loves to open up every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen. He loves to crawl super fast into the bathroom when the door is left open. He does not like balloons, loud noises, darkness, grass, fake flowers, when other kids cry,  when people leave the room (even strangers), new things, and I'm sure lots of other things that I don't know yet. He is a very sensitive, special kid. He always gets into mischief and hurts himself, which is why his face looks all cut up, poor kid. I love him so much!

He can finally feed himself his own bottle! He can eat real adult food, but I still feed him pureed food. I love his fat little belly after he eats and how it sticks out of his shirt. He has 3 teeth up top and 2 teeth on bottom. He still naps twice a day, 2 hours each, and sleeps 12+ hours at night. He no longer cries when I put him down for naps and bedtime. He is a absolute best baby!
