Lake House

Here are some pictures of our adventure this past weekend. Chris and I drove 2 hours south to Manti for a ward camp out. On our way, we stopped by the Manti temple to take some pics. So pretty! When we got to the cabin, I had no idea it was located on a lake! Or else I would have packed my swimsuit like Chris did. When we got there, we set up our tent and had some great grub: burgers. They were super thick, I could not even finish mine. Afterwards, some of us went over to feed some horses that were located next door. We drove them over the fence by offering fresh carrots. I always freak out while feeding horses that they will chomp on my little fingers by accident. Thankfully, we had Lori, who was our horse whisperer. She was amazing with them.

Later that night, Chris and some other boys decided to have a little midnight dip in the lake. I had to document. They then went in the hot tub and I was a little bit jealous after that. We played a lot of card games, charades, and Mario kart that night. Around 1 am, I finally convinced Chris to come to bed with me, or else he would have literally stayed up all night long. However, we did not get a great night sleep. There were literally around 12 people snoring as loud as humanely possible that night. And there was some generator that kept going on and off throughout the night. It also got really freezing cold all of a sudden, but we did not have enough blankets, so we had to fold our 1 sleeping bag over the two of us. Not a good night. By the next morning, my back was killing me and I could not stay awake. I was so tired! But, it was a great Friday night.

I have the best family in the world

Just found this little Gem.

I took this with my niece, Jayne, and my nephew, Jordan. We took this at the Provo Beach Resort. The color printer was broken. We actually got to do this twice! Gosh, these kiddies make me laugh so much. Just look at those faces!

Colorado

This past weekend, Chris and I took a little road trip down to Colorado for his friend, Andrew's, wedding. It was about a 7 hour drive to our Super 8 motel and then a 40 minute drive to the wedding. As we were getting ready, Chris realized he forgot his white button-up shirt. {so Chris}. We we drove around the town and found a Walmart Supercenter. He ran in and bought a $12 blue button-up. Now it's like his favorite shirt. We have pictures from the wedding, but it is on Chris' iphone. In the mean time, I put up pictures of us eating lunch on our way back home. We had a photo shoot of course. Also, look how beautiful Colorado is! There were mountains and lakes everywhere! So gorgeous!

we bought a car

We bought a car!!! Our first car bought together ever! Chris and I recently sold our jeep, so I needed a car to drive around in that was not stick shift. So, we went to the dealership and traded in Chris' scion TC for a scion XB. Its super nice! Tons of space, really good gas mileage, super cool sub-woofer in the back, and custom detailed logos around the car! {The logos are actually super weird, we have no idea what they stand for. The last owner just took off all of the scion logos and replaced it with something weird, haha.} What was also nice was that the dealership bought Chris' car for the same price Chris bought it for. Woot woot! And then we paid a little extra to upgrade. Now, whenever I see our little black beauty, I love it even more. Isn't is just so sexy?

The other day while renting a movie at red box, we saw some guy admiring our car, and the guy's girlfriend was all, "hey, what are you doing?" And he said, "That's a really cool car." I felt proud to be the owner of this black beast.

what happens in vegas, stays in vegas

Last weekend, Chris and I drove up to Vegas to have some fun with his family! It was a blast! We left Friday afternoon with Chris' sister, Abby, and her friend, Carly. Road trips are a blast! We were literally singing Disney songs all the way to Saint George. We decided to spend Friday night in St. George at Carly's Grandma's condo since the rest of the Guinn family will not be in Vegas until Saturday. We ate dinner at Cracker Barrel in St. George and slept in late on Saturday.

Then we headed up to Vegas! On our way, we stopped at the Pawn shop that is on the show, Pawn Starz. I literally watch that show everyday. Chris and I do no thave many channels, so I don't have many options. I love the guys on the show though! The line was really long to get in the store. And the guys were not even inside! I was bummed, but at least I got a picture. Later, we pulled into the Venetian Hotel and got some lunch at some super classy cafe in the mall, by the gondolas. Then we met up with the rest of the fam. We checked into our hotel room and got ready for the "O" show! I was so excited for this show! We walked over to the Bellagio, got some dinner, and went to the show! "O" my gosh! It was amazing! Like seriously blew my mind! They did the coolest dives, jumps, acrobats, contortionists ever! I've never seen a show like this before. Afterwards, we watched the Bellagio water show. Super cool. Then we headed back tot he hotel. While everyone went to sleep, Chris, Jack, and I headed down to the Casino! Woot woot! Chris and I did not want to spend our actual money, so we found some change in our pockets and decided to hit up the slot machines. After two pulls, Jack won $100 from 50 cents. What?! Chris and I lost all of our money. Of course. So Jack gave us $15 and we played some war and back jack. Jack got all the way up to $350! WHAT?! And Chris and I won some and lost some, and stayed at $15. We are just not lucky.

Sunday, we slept in a bit, had some breakfast, saw Dan from Gossip Girl (Penn Badgley), took a nap, layed out by the pool, went to MGM, sampled Coke from different countries, watched a super cool movie at the M&M factory, then got ready for the Beatles Love show. We had dinner at Benihana's before. It was soooo good. Then the show was amazing! I loved listening to all of the songs and getting into the story behind the music. The show was super cool and really fun! Gosh, cirque du soleil is the best!

Monday, I can't really remember what we did, but it was awesome none the least. I may or may not have been mixing up all of our activities this weekend. That's just what happens in Vegas. Oh yea, and Chris and I lost our $15 that Jack gave us. And Jack lost all of his $350 that he won. Even though none of us lost money that was actually ours to begin with, it was still a bummer.

{Also, check out Chris' mustache! Does he not look like a total pedophile?}
