Zions Road Trip

A few days ago, Chris and I took a road trip down to Zions National Park. We brought Abby and her friend, Carly. It was so much fun! We met up with Chris' work buddies and we all camped out together at this pretty intense park. There was a pool, game room, grocery store, bathrooms, showers, etc. In the middle of the night, there was a freaky thunder storm. Chris woke up ready to book it to the car. He was so scared and he was freaking the rest of us out by being so antsy and scared. I kept trying to calm him down and tell him to just try to sleep, but he just stood up until the storm got calmer. It was kind of funny.

In the morning, we got up around 5:30 because Chris' work friend wanted to and because we would then beat the heat of the sun. It was nice though hiking during sunrise. We hiked to Angel's Landing. It is a 5.4 mile hike round-trip. It is all up-hill. The official Angel's Landing part is a steep incline with cliffs on either side of you to the top of this huge mountain with a beautiful view. You have to hold onto chain fences so as not to fall off the edge. I was so scared to do it. I kept thinking I should go back and give-up. But Chris and I fought through the fear and made it to the top. There were tons of people taking pictures and looking over the edge. It was the most beautiful view. The first picture is us at the top of Angel's Landing. Going back down the mountain was hard. My thighs were killing me by going downhill for so long.

Afterwards, we went over to the narrows. My legs hurt so bad, that I made everyone turn back after a while. At least we were able to go in the water for a little bit. I was also scared of flash floods since it was kind of drizzling and it rained a lot the night before. But we were okay. Then we celebrated our Pioneer Day by eating out at the historic Pioneer Restaurant. Chris ordered the worst food ever. I doubt this place was historic at all.

Now we are home and my legs are still killing me. We are currently packing up our apartment and gettin' ready to move to another apartment complex in south provo. We leave this Saturday for a month long of awesome vacations.

Week 1: Cancun with Chris' family.
Week 2 & 3: Deep Creek Lake with my family.
Week 4: Cruise from Florida to the Bahamas with just each other.

Can't wait for Summer!

We are moving

Chris and I were unfortunately not able to renew our contract at the Branbury, so we are moving to another complex in Provo. It is called Heritage Court. We got one of the better apartments. Downside is, we now have to buy furniture to fill it with. So, if you all have any furniture you don't want, or want to give us nice generous gifts or belated birthday or wedding presents, just let us know! We need all the help we can get.

Thanks!

some pictures of things that we did a while ago

A few weeks ago, Chris and I went to the Carnival up in Lindon/Pleasant Grove and Chris lovingly won me this very cute pink bear! Chris did not win the game however, they guy just gave it to us for free. Now she sleeps on our bed. Woo hoo!
We also rode the ferris wheel and took really cute pictures.

Also, my sister Elyse has been in town the last few weeks! Chris and I were lucky enough to take her to Trafalga one Saturday night and  go laser tagging, go-cart racing, rock climbing, mini golfing, and tons more! We had such a fun night that night. We love you Elyse!

July 4th Week with the Guinns

This past week, Chris' family came into town. They stayed at a hotel in Park City. We spent the entire week up there with them in the hotel. I even slept on the floor a few times. It was great. We did tons of fun activities all week including, alpine slide, alpine coaster, ziplining, trampolines, boating, wake boarding, tubing, city creek, parade, fireworks, rodeo, and much more fun things. It was a splendid week and we both enjoyed it very much. Here are some of the pictures we took!
  Nice dance Ally.
We also went out to this really really really good restaurant. Like the food was oh-my-gosh ah-may-zing! Seriously the best food I have ever had. Everything was so good. We had scallops for the appetizer, steak for the entree, and a caramel cake for dessert. Everything was so good! It was called Chez Betty in Park City. It is very pricey, but such such such good food!

Saturday morning, we rented a boat at the Jordanelle Lake and went wakeboarding and tubing. It was so much fun! But in the morning, it was freezing cold. But then it warmed up a bit.
This is Josh, Abby's "boy" friend.
 Abby's turn to wakeboard!
 ooooo bad wipeout Abby.
 Go Emily!
Here's Chris. Too bad he couldn't get up and out of the water.

Later that night, we went on over to the Oakley Rodeo. It was so much fun! We actually got to see bull riding! I've never seen it before. There were definitely some crazy accidents and people got hurt. Afterwards, we saw fireworks! It was a lot of fun.
