Charlie's 2nd Birthday

This kid had so much fun on his 2nd birthday! We started the day at the zoo with friends and the weather was perfect! And Charlie was obsessed with the lion and elephant, as usual. He loves all animals! Then we visited Daddy at work for lunch. We ended the night with cake and presents at our house while face timing family. Charlie got a super cute rocking horse from the Guinns and a lego train set from the Richards. He is obsessed with both. For real. Perfect gifts! I sure love this age, Charlie is so fun to play with and entertain. I love going out everyday and doing kid things with him. Toddlers are the best! Other than those not-so-fun toddler tantrums, but thankfully Charlie doesn't have too many of those (knock on wood). He is finally starting to talk more and more within the last week. He is trying to say new words all of the time, even though half the time I have no idea what he is saying, I am just so proud that he's trying! My baby isn't a mute! Woo!

Happy Birthday my gorgeous munchkin!

St. Patrick's Day

I've never celebrated St. Patrick's day before. I never wear green because I don't own anything green. But Kansas, sure does love St. Patrick's Day! They had a giant parade and the kids absolutely loved it! Charlie was a bit scared though when motorcycles would drive by because they are very loud. But he was pointing at all of the cars and horses and everything. We had a blast!

This kid is OBSESSED with lollipops! It is his absolute favorite candy.

Disney!

Over the last weekend, Chris' parents were so kind to treat us all to Disneyland for a wonderful trip for Charlie's 2nd birthday! We were so spoiled and had such a wonderful amazing time together and Charlie was a pure bliss! He was such a good boy on the plane over to California, and although the taxi cab driver was less than fabulous (slowest, jerkiest driver of all time, I got so car sick), he was still super happy and the trip was all worth it!
On the flight there, Charlie's water bottle had so much air pressure, that when he opened it to drink some water, it started spraying all over him like a hose! It was pretty funny, but I had to take his clothes off to dry out. And he was obsessed with his Mickey Mouse hat the whole trip!

The first day we saw Lightning McQueen!

The love birds, Ally and Anthony

 Tower of Terror!
 Cars ride!
In front of the water fall at Grizzly rapids
We got Charlie this awesome balloon for his birthday and he was so ecstatic! He carried it around everywhere we went and kept licking it and hitting it and saying "vboon"

One night, Chris and I had a romantic evening out at Blue Bayou inside Pirates of the Caribbean. Every time I've been on this ride, I have dreamt about dining at this restaurant, and we finally did it! The food was delicious as well as the scenery!
Fireworks! Can you spot the "hidden Mickey"?
One morning we ate breakfast inside Disneyland at the Plaza Inn with Minnie & friends. We saw so many different characters and bonded with all of them! Charlie was freaking out though, but it was still special.

Chris had a little bounce-off with Tigger and obviously lost

Tea cups!
Charlie's favorite ride, the carousel!

Whenever we were too tired to walk, we would take the monorail home, and one time the conductor let us sit in the very front with him and Charlie thought it was pretty awesome.
The whole crew! So glad everyone came!

Fantasmic!
Mickey Mouse! Side note: this same morning, we saw James Franco in our hotel!
Charlie was literally freaking out crying in the corner of the room the whole entire time we were there.

Mickey and his band
Frozen play!
Jungle Cruise! Charlie loves this ride and loves seeing all of the animals.
THE most delicious meal I have ever had! Monte Cristo Sandwich located at Cafe Orleans. It's a deep fried ham, turkey, and cheese sandwich with powdered sugar and jelly dip. We call it the "donut sandwich". Ah-may-zing!
The swings!
Chris thinks he is strong.

Since we came here for Charlie's birthday, we got him a disney birthday button, which required all workers to say happy birthday to him! Even Lightning McQueen, which was awesome and just made this trip that much more special. Whenever I put the button on his shirt, he would walk around holding his button in one hand making sure it wouldn't fall off. It was so cute. So I decided to pin it to his hat to ease his anxiety about and so he could run around normally, but then every so often he would check his hat to make sure the button was still there. He is one cute little bugger!

Disneyland always brings us so many memories and it truly is the happiest place on earth. I'm so glad Charlie will grow up coming here at least once a year. It's a Guinn family tradition!
