Thanksgiving... a week early

The last few days, Chris, Charlie, and I have been vacationing in Arizona to visit his family! Since we can't leave Utah for Thanksgiving, we decided to come up a week before. It has been a lot of fun being here and seeing Charlie interact with his family! He loves 'em! He is always smiling and laughing and staring at them. It is the cutest. We also finally got the chance to get some family photos of our little family of 3! Thanks Ally for being our photographer and thanks Abby for making Charlie smile! We're gonna use one for our Christmas card. I can't wait for Christmas this year, especially to see Charlie experience all of the new experiences that Christmas brings. It's gonna be a blast! And we're gonna spend it in Arizona, so we will be back in just one month! Woohoo!

Eight months

My baby turned 8 months old on Wednesday, November 20th. He has grown up so much since the last month. He can now crawl! Huge accomplishment! He loves to laugh, play with my phone, squeeze my nose and eyes, and smile. But his most favorite thing to do is play with the doorstopper! He can find them in every room! And I'll just hear, booooiiiiiiing, for like an hour at a time. He loves it! It is the absolute cutest thing ever. He also loooooves bed time diaper changes (from his Dad). He laughs and giggles like crazy without us even doing anything. It's hilarious! However, he will still cry at each and every "new" thing to him. Like the other day we went bowling, and he has never seen or touched a bowling ball in his short life, so I'm carrying him towards a bowling ball, and his arm is stretched out, about the reach it, and it is shaking like crazy. The second his fingers grazed the ball, he started shrieking! Like scared out of his life! It was so funny! He also cried at a whistle the other day. Very bizarre the things he is scared of. But I still love and adore him like crazy :)

I'm also upset at the fact that he no longer wears onsies. Like that is the definition and epitome of a baby, which means he is no longer one. He just wears little man clothes and I love it, but it also makes me sad. Like, he wears shoes! Why? He doesn't need them, but he looks so darn cute in 'em! He is now turning into a kid with a little personality and I love it.

When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants. It's for fun.

Halloween was such a blast this year! Especially because I had my little super hero buddy! This holiday is so much more fun with kids. We spent it with family and lots of nieces and nephews. Chris decided not to join in the family matching costumes this year, and went against the flow as an evil robot ninja. He bought his costume from D.I.: A red ninja robe and a hat with the face of the evil Emperor Zurg from Toy Story, that we found out later was reversible as Buzz Lightyear! I'm just happy I got to match my sweet baby boy! We went to a trunk or treat with my sister's ward, we went to our own ward party in our bishop's backyard that is amazing! Complete with a smoke machine, DJ, and half-pipe for skating. Halloween night we went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and checked out the Halloween Carnival at the Rec Center. They had a haunted house there, that people told us was not scary and that it would be fine if we brought our baby... false. Charlie screamed the whole time! I was even scared too! I had to hold him tight, and walk really fast through the whole thing to avoid the other people in the group screaming. And the whole time I'm yelling "Please don't scare us! I have a baby!" as I'm walking past disco zombies and axe murderers. All in all, it was an awesome Halloween!

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Guinn

My official wedding video! I finally had time, after 2 years, to convert my DVD into a format where I could upload it online. And I am so glad that I have done it! It turned out so well! Enjoy!

Vegas 2011

I finally got this video uploaded onto the blog! In 2011, before Chris and I were dating or married, we went to Vegas with a group of friends from our European Study Abroad. It was so much fun! We were in the pyramid hotel and saw this booth where you could take a video on a flying magic carpet for free, so of course we did it, but if you wanted the DVD, you had to buy it. I thought it was so cool, I wanted to buy it, but no one wanted to go in on the cost with me, except for Chris, of course. So we split the cost. We even talked about like trading off the DVD, like who got to keep it when and for a certain amount of time and what not. Little did we know we would get married and we both would be able to keep it :)
