Christmas is almost here

Yesterday, we finally decorated the Christmas tree. We waited until Abby got home to decorate. There were hundreds of ornaments, literally. I'm surprised we fit them all on. Here are just a few that I thought were pretty cool.
 The Guinn Family
(I'm on it!!!)
 Super Creepy Santa Head
 PRESENTS!
 ORNAMENTS!
Married Minnie & Mickey Mouse
This is mine and Chris' trademark for some reason. And hence, these are our new ornaments. Their family has a tradition of getting new ornaments for each member of the family every year. I like it.
Later that night, we went to our Aunt and Uncle's house and had a gingerbread house competition - Guinn's vs. Marsh's. I think we destroyed them. Here is our masterpiece.
 Rudolph (made by Ally)
 Fireplace (made by me)
 Dead Santa (made by Chris)
 Murderer (made by Jack)
 The Newlyweds
The group

So, I know you must be wondering... what was up with the dead santa and murderer? Well, our gingerbread house was a crime scene. As you can see, the murderer killed Santa and took his toy bag and escaped on a boat on the river. Clearly. Our first story was that Santa crash landed in the ground and died, but then Chris wanted the man in the boat to be the murderer. It was pretty funny making this gingerbread house. Too bad it caved in on itself...

We also drove by a sweet house yesterday. The Christmas lights were synched to music on the radio. Really awesome light show!

  1. so ya we might have won for most detailed and pretty darn cool, but i must give it to the Guinn crime scene...it was very creative and original. And I liked that we finally solved the mystery of how Santa died, he was crushed by the house (although I think that was already after he died). Anyways, it was fun!
