Happy Halloween!

This weekend was our ward's Halloween party! Basically, our bishop has a sikee house/barn. There was food, costumes, games, and hay rides. Super fun! Here is a pic of Peach shooting Mario, which is quite ironic.

Earlier on Saturday, Chris and I hiked the Y! It was Chris' first time ever. I've done it like once a year. You're not a true cougar unless you have hiked the Y. Boom. Done.

(Sunday, Chris and I had a sweet photo shoot... pics to come)
Does this even look like a Y?
Provo
SHARKTOOTH!
Sorry he's been gone for so long. Thought he needed to make an appearance once in a while. This time a chick is wearing him. That never usually happens. It probably won't be the last though, since Chris won't give him the time of day anymore. Gosh.

So, Happy Halloween! I used to always look forward to this day when I was younger. Juliet and I would go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and always dress as witches together. We would count our candy afterwards and sort them into piles. It was always a battle to have to most candy. Then we would trade candy with each other. Kit-kats are my fav. Always have been. Always will.

Tonight, Chris and I are probably going to go to the Haunted Forest. We're obsessed.

More Wedding Photos!

So all of my wedding photos are done! Like all 1,000 of them. If you would like to see all of the images that Rebekah Westover took, go to this website: CLICK HERE
The password is: Lauren
Just so you know, the photos are on sale this weekend for 35% off if you would like to purchase one. They are just so beautiful. Go check 'em out to see the sweet pics of you!

So about Chris and I, last night, we enjoyed watching BYU football get defeated by TCU. I know. sad. I actually fell asleep. We were getting slaughtered. Then we went out for mexican food with some friends. Afterwards, we went to a Halloween dance party at Alpine Village. I'm sure we were the only married people there. Sometimes it is still fun to do things that we used to do when we were single. Just a lil spontaneity! We got lots of comments and honks from people about our cute costumes. Peach and Mario is a hit!

Also, really smart tip: We got so much money to Bed, Beth and Beyond from our wedding. After buying tons of new stuff for our apartment and not knowing what else to get with our $200 bed bath bucks... we decided to buy a $150 mastercard gift card at bed bath and beyond. The girl at the register was praising us for how smart we were. Oh yea!

Chris' Post w/ Mario and Peach

We got our Halloween costumes! We needed them already by Thursday night because our apartment complex had a Halloween party. There was a haunted house section and then dancing in the main room.

Mario! In the Mario games, Mario is constantly trying to save Peach from her captivity in Bowser's castle. My goal was no different.
Beautiful Peach! Lauren made her costume look soo good.

So at the party there was another couple dressed just like us, a Mario and Peach. As you can guess we had to have a dance off to see who was the better Nintendo couple. The crowd chose us overwhelmingly once we pulled out the Lauren Stiff Arm Dance. I will be the only Mario this Halloween!

Wedding photos are done! Click HERE to check 'em out!

Cute Pumpkins

I made this super cute pumpkin last night at the relief society enrichment activity. There were tons of different crafts there, but I went for the easy one. I just spray painted the whole pumpkin with a metallic paint color. Then I made this design on it! The gold "beads" are actually thumb tacks. Super easy! Then I hot glued the silver jewels on it. I wanted to put the jewels all around the whole pumpkin, but that would have taken forever. I'm not that patient, but I like to think of myself as a crafty person.

Here is the pumpkin I made last year:
Obviously, I was already in the Christmas spirit.

Also, Chris got his hair cut by his sister Abby, who is going to Paul Mitchell hair school. She did an awesome job! Chris insisted that she style his hair this way afterwards. He actually had it like this the whole rest of the day... even to school. Its super hot, right?

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Good Morning!

Yesterday was such a great day! I took it easy and barely did any school work. Chris on the other hand was a busy bee. After school, we went to the Magleby's house to help my sister Crystal babysit 2 babies and a toddler. Crazy! Juliet came over too with some pizza. It was such a fun night playing with my nieces and nephews. They are the cutest! Wish I took a pic.

Also, my wedding photos are almost done! They will be up online either Friday or Saturday. Can't wait to show you all!

Check these out:
My wedding cake
Some other person's wedding cake
See the difference? I saw this on Chris' facebook wall the other day. I just about died. It's hilarious.

So this post is pretty boring and random. Not much to blog about, but I've made a goal to do a blog post every day. Let's see... Chris is currently getting his hair cut by his sister. She is going to Paul Mitchell in Provo. I don't think she knows how much power she has over him right now. One mean word by Chris, and she can basically ruin mine and Chris' life. Don't do it Abby! You know how Chris can be sometimes!

What else... I need to shower... its been a few days. Peace.

Jack-o-lantern

JACK-O-LANTERN

Last night, for FHE, we carved our first pumpkin together! Woot! Chris was really grossed out by the insides of the pumpkin. He barely helped me clean it out. What a wus! I mean seriously! But it turned out really well! We sure are gettin' into the halloween spirit. I mean, going to haunted houses every weekend and decorating pumpkins and doing corn mazes... sure is fun! I love the fall season.

Right now, my sister Dayna is in New York City. So jealous! Chris and I are gonna make some plans to go there right before Thanksgiving, and then head on down to Maryland.

New York City is a wonderful place
New York City is fun fun fun
New York City is very rare
New York City! We're almost there!

This song was created by me and my siblings when I was about 5 years old it seems like. Every Thanksgiving my family would stay at my Aunt and Uncle's house in Connecticut and then watch the Thanksgiving day parade in New York City. We made a music video in their basement, singing to this song that we made up. We danced on this huge airplane that they had hanging in their basement (every little kids dream). So fun! One of my favorite memories! Wish my parents didn't lose the video of it though... could have been on AFV.

We like sunsets

Chris and I started off our Saturday going to the BYU vs. Idaho State football game. Once again, we are wearing our matching jerseys. Aren't we just the cutest? Yea, I thought so. So BYU killed Idaho. Like slaughter. Like it was really embarrassing. 56-3. We left after the 2nd quarter because it got so boring. We went home, and I took literally a 3 hour nap. I didn't even know I was that tired. Then we got up and took a drive up to Squaw peak. I know what you must be thinking, but no. Here are some sweet pics!

So we had a photo shoot, nbd.
nice toosh
This is my new sweater from target that I just had to have. Look at those buttons! Gah!
So fun! There were tons of families there getting their pictures taken by professional photographers, but I like to think I did a good job with my camera.

Afterwards, we ate some Chinese cuisine! It was kinda gross... panda is way better. Then we sat around the house, wondering what to do. I thought of Haunted Forest... Chris says no. I thought of bowling... Chris says no. So we finally agree on Comedy Sportz. That is where we went on our first date, on Saturday, February 26th, 2011. Am I weird for remembering the date? Of course not.
The show was hilarious! We highly recommend. Then we fell asleep watching Lost, our new favorite show! So good!

Sunday was such a good day. We slept in super late of course because we don't have church until 1. We were so excited for dinner because Saturday we bought some steak and potatoes to have a high class meal for Sunday dinner. Sadly, the clubhouse was closed after church so we could not cook our steaks on a grill. So Chris cooks them on a skillet and then in the oven. Let's just say, we did not eat steak last night. The color of it threw me off. I couldn't do it. Our potatoes turned out great though! I had a sweet potato, my favorite. Then we watched a movie - Cloverfield. Super intense. Very good.

Here is when our night took a rough turn. Chris looks up his homework for tomorrow. "Crap! My exam ended last Friday! I thought it didn't end until tomorrow!" I have told Chris countless times to put his class assignments on his computer calendar. He has not done it, until now. So far, he has missed 2 papers and 1 exam. I don't wanna say I told you so, but...
... come on babe.

Chris' Post

This is the first time this picture has been made public. Something important just happened here. She said YESSSS!!!!!!!! If you know the story this is where I proposed to Lauren. Right on the dock by Utah Lake. It was early in the morning and the sun was just reached over the East mountains. I made her favorite breakfast, but if I think about it we really didn't even eat the food. I knelt down and proposed to her right after taking her blindfold off and sitting her down to eat. It was a beautiful moment. June 28th, 2011

Yesterday, October 22nd, 2011. Friday Night. Everybody's looking forward to the weekend especially Lauren. Haha To start off the night we went to Target to use our fifty dollar gift card. We ended up spending more money than that because Lauren found a sweater that she just could not turn down. From Target, we decided to go to a movie. The Three Musketeers just opened last night. We bought tickets and still had over an hour 'til the show so we went to the Sweet Tooth Fairy to get some cake bites. The same from our wedding. I think they're bomb. Finally, time for the movie. There were a lot of cool scenes and some suspenseful parts, but overall I'd say the movie was average. I thought that it was going to be as good as Pirates, but it was just good.

We like scary things

Last night, I got to babysit these little cuties! Seriously, I haven't seen them in weeks even though I live 5 minutes away. I'm a terrible aunt. But, they still remembered me! And still love me!
We were watching Iron Giant, and Jayne got scared and cried for her blanket so she could cover her eyes... so cute! Vinny, on the other hand, had the biggest poop blow out I've ever seen... not cute! It came all the way up his back and through his shirt. We didn't notice it until the stain was huge, so I'm not sure if it got on anything. I know it got on my pants though... time to wash those. But I handled it like a mature adult whose gettin' ready to be a future Mom.
Jayne is so freaking cute
After babysitting, we headed over to Cornbelly's up at thanksgiving point. They have so many cool things to do there. Admission is $8 and it comes with a bunch of free activities and a corn maze! Tons of kids there. Highly recommend for you parents out there. We hung out with Chris' good friend Fenton and his date. We had a race to see who could finish the corn maze first. Chris and I lost. Somehow we ended up on the second path (there are 2 different paths) and finished by leaving out of the entrance of the second path. I'm glad we made it out though. I was getting worried.
Chris doing his thing

This is cool too
Chris up on stage entertaining all of his friends.
Pumpkin Plank
Carriage ride! Chris and I wanted to leave our wedding reception in a horse and carriage, but La Caille was too anal to let us.
True love.

and... SHARKTOOTH! I made Chris wear his sharktooth. I'm sorry he has not been wearing it these past couple days, but sharktooth is back in business!

Then we went over to the ticket counter and upgraded our tickets to the scary passes, which included 5 haunted attractions. Holy crap, they were so gooood! Especially the haunted corn maze, which wasn't even a maze at all... they just had a lot of corn everywhere, with some buildings in between that you walk through. It was a really good haunted house. While waiting in line, we saw our friend Coates (who is Alex Coates from our study abroad)... so our double date turned into a triple. So fun! Such a great night!

***Chris' Weekly Friday Post will be postponed until tomorrow morning... sorry for the delay***

Volleyball

Last night, Chris played intramural volleyball. He played in high school and loves the sport. I've never seen him play for real until yesterday. He is amazing! Chris is the one in the gray shirt slamming the ball in the other court. Look at his air! So his team lost, but it was super close! They went into over time! And I almost got slammed in the face with a volleyball 3 times during the game while sitting on the side lines. Its a dangerous game.

Babe says I should never say "spike" when referring to volleyball. He says 'real' volleyballers do not say that word. Only newbies do. And I don't like being a newbie.

And what's a blog post without a pic of us?

One Month!

Its been one month since we've been married! (plus a couple days)
Chris' Mom sent us this super cute snow globe and music box in the mail the other day. Chris' family goes to Disneyland every chance they get. I love it. Thanks Linda!
(and yes, those are real bells)

Last night, to celebrate our one month anniversary a day late (yes people, we are still together and very happy), we went to happy sumo! We could not celebrate on the 17th because I had tons of homework to do. Gladly, the rest of the week will be a breeze for me. So happy. The food was delicious! We got it all half off since I have a VIP voucher that I get every month to use at happy sumo.

Afterwards, we went to the dollar theater to watch Kung Fu Panda 2. It got really good reviews on rotten tomatoes, but it was just ehhh to me. I don't think Chris liked it either. Maybe I've grown out of the whole animation phase. Disney does that to people. But overall, it was a great night! Thanks babe! Love you

Hey hottie,
Happy one month anniversary

We are family

So for FHE last night, Chris found these sweet Halloween papers at Macey's. He decided that we should color them in! Which I thought was pretty gay at first, but then it ended up being really fun! We used my $40 colored pencils that I was forced to buy when I was in my interior design class last winter semester (I ended up getting a C in the class, so such a waste).

If you notice on Chris' pic, there is blood coming out of his knee. Not sure why. Also, Chris would like to add that there is blood coming out of the cat because Dracula could not find any humans to eat, so he bit a cat instead. The cat looks pretty happy though.

Instead of hanging these pictures on our fridge, we hung them on our front door, since we have no one else to show them off too except for people walking by our apartment.

Last night was our 1 month aniversary, I was too busy with school to celebrate. Sorry babe. So we are going to Happy Sumo tonight! I got a VIP half off pass. I'm way excited!

(Sadly, sharktooth could not make an appearance in this post, but Chris would like to make a public promise to wear it in the next post)
We miss you sharktooth

Weekend

Here is a pic from when we were dating.

So this weekend was saweet! I already told you about Friday, so Saturday was epic as well... kinda. Started off the whole morning and afternoon writing a paper. This past week I have had 2 exams and 2 papers. Today, I have to take 1 exam and write a paper... so basically I have been in school mode all last week and this weekend. (aka worst week of my life). I seriously cannot wait until April. So, I finished 1 paper and started working on another due today. Then it became 3 o'clock. Time for a break! Chris and I played some football outside, which consists of him throwing me the ball and then tackling me the second I catch it. I am fragile! So after getting hurt, I decided to move onto phase 2. Pizza! and BYU football game! We are true fans, kinda. BYU won! Woot! Then we had a dinner with another couple in our married ward. So fun! We played bang! After dinner, we hit it up at Nickelcade. They have a new motorcycle race game! And we went lazertagging there too. It was fun until some 20-something-year-old chick just stood next to me, shooting me over and over the second my life came back. I was like, seriously?! And just walked away. How annoying!

Sunday, was grrreat. We don't have church until 1, which was okay since we slept in until 12. Chris and I have this thing where we need at least 11 hours of sleep to function. I'm not sure what it is. At church, Chris accidentally took Nyquil instead of Dayquil. So halfway through sacrament he starts passing out. After church, we had dinner with a few other couples in our ward and played some fun games. Chris and I are making friends! Woot! I never thought this would happen.
